The Biomass lab
Offers a new area of innovative research that will help to explore methods to tackle the waste issue in the region and to provide an alternative source of energy with low cost. Both wastewater and solid waste are considered environmental and social challenge in Bahrain. Using the Anaerobic method for treating the waste, the lab provides Bahrain with the first AD system with local AD bacteria (inoculum) and a total capacity of 70 liters reactors, operating with different feeds.
